MLB Player Props for Monday the 10th

Corbin Burnes

MLB Player Props 6/10

After a one-week break, I am back to give some winning player props. The last set of props was a bit of mystery about how they did not cash. Corey Seager had nine straight games of reaching his over for Hits + Runs + RBIs and proceeded not to hit it this one time. He then reached that over the following three straight games. Luis Severino was at five hits allowed, but the Mets put him back out there to give up a home run and took him out swiftly. Reynaldo Lopez had a great outing, as the record was 1-2, but today is a new day.

The slate for today is not as steep with only seven games available. However, some interesting props on the board might need to be looked at a little further. Here are some of the props I love for June 10th.

Erick Fedde Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-160)

Erick Fedde had a tumultuous first half of his MLB career. However, he is back in the majors after a year in the KBO and is having a great season. He is 4-1 with a 3.27 ERA despite playing on the worst team in the entire MLB. The potential trade candidate is putting together a perfect bounce-back season.

Tonight he faces off against the Seattle Mariners, who are in first place in the AL West, but it does not feel like that. The Mariners strike out more than any team in the league. They lead the league in K% at 27.4%. Cole Ragans accumulated 9 strikeouts against this Mariners lineup yesterday.

Fedde isn’t a strikeout-or-nothing type of pitcher, but he has had some crazy outings this season. One of those outings includes an 11-strikeout performance against the Minnesota Twins. Furthermore, he has eclipsed this over in three straight starts. I love that this line is at 5.5 against a team that is going to whiff all game. Take the over immediately.

Corbin Burnes Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-120)

Corbin Burnes is having another great season with another CY Young award being a real possibility. He has been a great addition for the young Baltimore Orioles. Tonight can be one of those amazing Cy Young performances against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Burnes has not had a lot of games going over 6.5 strikeouts, but today is the perfect spot for him to surpass this over. The Rays have the 7th worst K% in the MLB, but at home it is even worse. They strikeout the most in home games at their horrendous ballpark. They have a hard time with the backdrop and lighting in that stadium, which causes their vision to be a little worse than on the road.

Burnes is currently in the 74th percentile in Whiff%, which shows that he is capable of getting the strikeouts. The matchup sets up a Burnes masterclass today and I want to be on the right side of history.

Carlos Rodon Over 17.5 Outs Recorded (-170)

The New York Yankees have been the best team in the American League. They have superstars everywhere on the field and are just dominating teams. They did lose two of three to the Dodgers this past weekend, but the team is still in position to make a real run at a World Series this season.

One of their acquisitions from last off-season, Carlos Rodon, is having a stellar bounce-back year. After an injury and struggles last season, a lot of people were ready to write Carlos Rodon off. However, he is putting it together and making up for his poor debut season with the Yankees. A 3.08 ERA and 1.08 WHIP is what Rodon owns at the moment and it feels like he is hitting his stride right now.

For six straight games, Rodon has finished with at least six innings pitched with a win coming in each of them. After his Orioles start on May 2nd, he was rolling with a 3.68 ERA, which has gone down dramatically since then. He is becoming the guy that the Yankees paid for.

Another reason why I love this over is due to Yankees bullpen usage. Four of their seven bullpen arms have thrown 30+ pitches, while two of the remaining three pitched yesterday. The Yankees might need Rodon to get through at least six regardless. I am rolling with Rodon’s over outs and might be the best prop on the board.
