NFL Prop Bets Week 8
We are rolling on the player props! Another solid week and it’s time to repeat. We’ve got some great action in the week 8 NFL slate. Plenty of division matchups, players returning from IR, and what should be exciting games on paper! I don’t know about you, my eyes will be peeled on the Bills & Seahawks game in Seattle. Here is where our picks stand:
- Straight props: 21-9
- Anytime TD: 8-11
- Player Prop Parlays: 3-4
I bought some yards in the player prop parlay, so if you were one of the unfortunate bettors who had Pollard O 62.5 and watched him lose 4 yards after hitting 65, same here. But I used 60+ rushing yards in the parlay. We are going to hit some touchdown scorers this week; I can feel it! After such a strange week, we are due for a fun-filled week 8! Time to win some money, folks.
Props
Jordan Love O 258.5 passing yards (-114)
The Jaguars will give up passing yards to anyone. I’m not kidding. They are the second-worst passing defense in the NFL. Jordan Love is going to make them hurt. I will say this, the Jags did get Tyson Campbell back last week and I definitely noticed him making plays. But that doesn’t speak for the rest of the secondary. On top of that, they are coming back from a long trip in London. They could have some rust to deal with. Imagine if Jordan Love were to throw for 400 yards for the first time in his career. That would be something! Either way, I like the over here. Use 250+ in your player prop parlay!
Tee Higgins O 5.5 receptions (-114)
Tee Higgins has been playing exceptionally well. He has not had a game with less than 60 receiving yards in 4 straight, and in the last 3 Tee has recorded 75+ yards. Plenty of targets are coming his way as well. I see a world where the Eagles are up early in this game, and Joe Burrow climbs the Bengals back in the second half and Tee Higgins will be a large part of that. Ja’Marr will certainly draw attention, and with the Eagles’ secondary tightening up this year, he may not have the best day. But, that is where Tee comes in. Would be a great spot for Tee to have a 100+ yard game. C’mon Tee! I will use 5+ receptions in the prop parlay.
Update: Tee Higgins is now questionable. Wait to see if the line moves and if you suits up.
Bijan Robinson O 65.5 rushing yards (-114)
I like this spot for Bijan. The Bucs defense is not very stout vs the run allowing 132 yards a game. If you happen to catch any of the Falcons game against the Seahawks, Bijan looked like he was ready to rip one off for a big play multiple times. I think this week he accomplishes that and I hope it’s on the ground! And even if he doesn’t, the Falcons could get ahead in this game and then pound the ball to chew the clock. Bijan is going to clear 65 yards! I will use 60+ in the parlay.
Baker Mayfield O 32.5 passing attempts (-106)
Vegas doesn’t think Baker will be throwing the ball as much as they have in games prior, and I don’t know why. I know it has a lot to do with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin’s absence, but Baker can throw to anyone. Plus, if the Falcons get out ahead the Bucs will be tossing the rock to get back in it. If betting on Baker as an underdog isn’t enough for you, Baker has gone over this mark in 4 games this season, let’s make it 5!
Touchdown Scorers
Davante Adams +125
This one isn’t all that difficult. Adams got targeted 9 times in his first game with Aaron Rodgers but didn’t see much production off those targets. This week, the Patriots will do their best to prevent Rodgers’ wizardry, but they won’t escape Adams. If there’s anyone who can deal with the antics and physicality of Sauce Gardner, it’s Davante Adams. Sign me up for an Adams TD this week!
Tyreek Hill +105
Yep, another wide receiver. The band is back together and the drums are beating! There’s plenty of “Tua’s back” hype and I’m not sure I love it for the Dolphins’ sake. I do love it for Tyreek, though. We haven’t seen their connection yet this season and what better time than against a weak Cardinals’ secondary? I’ll take the shot on doubling my money with Reek!
Stefon Diggs +135
You guessed it, sticking with the wide receivers here. Stefon Diggs gets peppered with targets. There’s no doubt about that. And with an underwhelming secondary, the Colts are the perfect spot for Diggs to find the end zone again. After such a heavy rush attack against the Packers, logic would tell you the Colts try to stop that and Diggs benefits. But logic and sports betting aren’t always best friends. I will take the risk. Let’s find paydirt this weekend, Stefon!
