NBA Player Props 11/8

Friday night hoops are here and this week we have a lot of basketball on the slate for us to bet on. Before discussing today’s props, let’s celebrate a sweaty 2-1 record on Wednesday. Josh Giddey was awesome and cashed his prop with ease. Jaren Jackson Jr. was .5 away from hitting the over, but luckily the Memphis Grizzlies were blowing out the Los Angeles Lakers, which led them to take their foot off the gas pedal. Unfortunately, we missed out on the 3-0 sweep due to Chet Holmgren not getting over 17.5 points. Hopefully, we can start the weekend with a perfect sweep to get the money rolling in. Here are the three best props to kick off the weekend.

Alperen Sengun 10+ Rebounds (-150)

The Houston Rockets look to make a statement tonight against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Rockets are 5-3, while the Thunder head into this matchup after suffering their first loss earlier this week. Ime Udoka would look to lean towards his star center Alperen Sengun to take advantage of a small Thunder team.

Sengun is in the top 10 in rebounds per game at 11.4. The Thunder are small right now with Isaiah Hartenstein out. They are allowing 50 RPG, which is the worst in the NBA. Chet Holmgren is their starting center, but he is very thin and was planning on playing the power-forward spot more this season.

When Sengun has played against other teams that are at the bottom of the league allowing rebounds, he has hit this line. However, the only thing stopping Sengun from reaching this line is Ime Udoka. He is only averaging 28.4 MPG. In an overtime game against the Golden State Warriors, Sengun only played 21 minutes. He is not afraid of riding the hot hands off the bench, but that can be a detriment in betting on Sengun.

Despite the lack of faith in their head coach to leave him no matter what, I still see Sengun taking advantage of the small frontcourt of the Thunder.

Kevin Durant 25+ Points (-140)

Is there a chance that 36-year-old Kevin Durant can win the MVP this season? As of today, the answer is a resounding yes. The Phoenix Suns are 7-1, which is tied for the best record in the Western Conference. Then there is Kevin Durant who is having a super-efficient season thus far. He’s averaging 27.8 PPG, while shooting 55% from the field and 42% from three.

KD has always been one of the best scorers in the league and might go down as the best pure scorer in NBA history. In the 8 games he has played this season, KD has hit this total in 6 of them. One of the games where he scored 25+ points was against this Dallas Mavericks squad. He dropped 31 points on the Mavs a few weeks ago and can easily replicate that performance.

This is a bet that I have to take. The efficiency from KD, along with his uptick in minutes, gives him a huge edge in cashing this prop. We know KD will shoot the ball. It all depends on if he is going to be as efficient as he has been. Take the 25+ and hope he continues to roll.

Stephen Curry 25+ Points (-125)

The Golden State Warriors beat the defending champion Boston Celtics a few nights ago with a great Stephen Curry performance. They now look to take down the Cleveland Cavaliers, who are the last remaining undefeated team in the NBA. The Warriors themselves have been excellent this season with a 7-1 record, despite Steph missing some time with a sprained ankle. However, he is healthy and just finished his first game over 30 minutes, which saw him score 27 points.

Steve Kerr was experimenting with a 12-man rotation to start the season, but he now knows who he needs to roll with for most of the game. Steph is obviously going to play, but he should be playing a lot more moving forward, especially against a very good Cavs team. However, the Cavs have one weakness and Steph should be able to exploit it.

The Cavs allow the most PPG to point guards and the 5th-most three pointers made by point guards. They also rank as the 4th-worst team in opponent’s 3P%. Steph has made at least 3 threes in each game he’s played, while shooting at least 7 threes. Steph is the greatest shooter ever and will showcase that tonight.
