Underdog Fantasy Prop Bets

It’s now week two of the NFL season and what a wild start. There have been so many storylines already, and we’re just getting started.

If you are a New York Jets fan, my heart goes out to you. I can’t imagine how painful this week might have been. Let’s hope they build off that 1-0 start.

As we start to look at week two prop bets on Underdog fantasy, we now know a little bit more on each team and have a little more data to work with. Although, who really knows? So many things can change in week two with the National Football League.

Last week I went 3-4 (.43%) and I’m looking to utilize what we learned in week one for these upcoming prop bets. All of these lines can be found now on Underdog Fantasy.

2023 Record: 3-4

Underdog

Nick Bosa OVER .5 Sacks (@ LA Rams)
The 49ers are coming off a huge week one victory against the Steelers and looking to build off that with an in division game against the Rams. Bosa is back with the team after missing training camp in contract negotiations, He did not have a sack in week one against the Steelers, but now being back on the west coast against a familiar rival makes all the sense. Last year against the Rams, Bosa had 3.5 sacks through only two games.

Amon-Ra St. Brown OVER 77.5 Receiving Yards (vs SEA)

The Lions had an incredible week one win over the Chiefs, which is such a testament to this new Detroit team that looks to take the next step. Last week, the Seahawks allowed TWO 100-yard wide receivers against the Rams (Tutu Atwell & Puka Nacua). After a good first outing in week one for the lions, smash the over on this Prop as St. Brown should feast against this Seahawks defense.

Patrick Mahomes OVER 4.0 Rushing Attempts (@ JAX)

Mahomes likes to scramble, when he needs to, and he is very good at it. His presence in the pocket and feel for oncoming pressure is like no other. What draws me to this prop is just how much he likes to run. In fact, in week one, Mahomes had 6 rushing attempts against the Lions. Even looking back to the 2022 season, Mahomes hit the over on 4.0 rushing attempts in 10/17 games, so it is very true to his game. As this looks to be a close game where every first down will matter for both AFC contenders, Mahomes will use his legs to make things happen in a must win game for KC.

Trevor Lawrence OVER 252.5 Passing Yards (vs KC)

Lawrence and company look to take on the 2022 Super Bowl Champion Chiefs in week two of the NFL season. The Chiefs are 0-1 and have not been 0-2 since 2014. With the Jags looking to make a serious push in the AFC, this is a very important game for them. Looking back to last year, Lawrence threw for 259 yards against the Chiefs in Kansas City. Now he gets to play them at home in Jacksonville, with new weapons (WR1 Calvin Ridley!) and looking to take the Jags to 2-0. Vegas currently has the O/U game total at 51.0 points as well, as this should be a high scoring contest.

Derrick Henry UNDER 85.5 Rushing Yards (vs LAC)

Henry and the Titans are coming off a close loss to the New Orleans Saints, in that game, Henry totaled 15 carries for 63 yards. Henry turns 30 in January and the Titans want to keep him healthy, which explains the usage of rookie RB Tyjae Spears, who outsnapped Henry in week one. In week one, the Chargers defense only allowed 70 rushing yards to the Miami Dolphins even though there were 70 points scored in that game. Both the Titans and Chargers are looking for their first win, but with the emergence of Spears and a strong Chargers defense against the rush, I think Henry doesn’t hit this mark this week.

Brock Purdy OVER 229.5 Passing Yards (@ LAR)

Purdy and the 49ers team had complete control against the Steelers to open the season in 2023 when they won 30-7. Purdy had 220 passing yards in that contest, but looked very efficient and in control of this offense. The team now heads back to the west coast where they face a familiar rival in the Rams. Vegas currently has this line at 44.5 total points, and I see the 49er’s headed to 2-0. Ayiuk, Kittle, CMC, etc. The weapons are endless, Purdy hits this mark this week.

Dalton Kincaid OVER 29.5 Receiving Yards (vs LV)

The Las Vegas Raiders are traveling to Buffalo to take on the Bills for their 2023 Home Opener. To everyone’s surprise, the Raiders are the 1-0 team and the Bills are currently 0-1 but Vegas still has the Bills as 8 point favorites to win. The Raiders last week allowed 34 yards to Broncos TE Adam Trautman on five receptions and 22 yards to Greg Dulcich as well. Kincaid is looking to build off of his debut where he had 4 grabs for 26 yards, and played on 80% of the offensive snaps. It’s clear he has a role on this team. Look for him to smash the over on this prop as the Bills face a much easier defense this week on their home opener.
